First CU Wraps Up 90th Anniversary Celebration with 90 Days of Giving

CHANDLER, Ariz.–First Credit Union said it marked its 90th anniversary with a service campaign called #90DaysofGiving that gave back to the communities and members it serves.

“In celebration of our 90th anniversary, we wanted to look for opportunities to serve, volunteer and give back,” said President/CEO Jay Curtis. “We give of our time, talent and treasure in the communities we serve, because serving and giving back is a core value of who we are.”

The credit union staff participated in more than 100 events, donating both time and donations. In all, staff volunteered more than 2,747 hours, raised or donated more than $29,000, collected 305 pounds of food and walked 102 miles to raise money for various charities.

“For 90 years, FCU has existed to serve the community and our members,” Curtis said. “Our growth and longevity are attributed to solid financial principals, community service and our commitment to put members and our communities first.”

The $476-million First Credit Union has more than 40,000 members.
