STEWARVILLE, Minn.–First Alliance Credit Union has named a new president and CEO to succeed the retiring Mike Rosek, who has been in the post for six years.
The $287.3-million First Alliance has selected Brent Rempe to lead the organization. Rempe most recently served as chief lending officer at Allegiance Credit Union in Oklahoma. His 10-year career in credit unions began as director of education at Weokie FCU in Oklahoma, before joining TruStage as a chief strategist.
“I am excited to join the passionate and talented First Alliance team,” said Rempe. “Mike Rosek, the board, and the team have built a purpose-driven organization that strives to fulfill the credit union difference by serving the entire community. I look forward to being part of First Alliance’s next chapter as we continue to create an impact in the lives of Southeast Minnesotans.”
Educational Background
Rempe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University and two postgraduate degrees: A master’s degree in organizational dynamics from the University of Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in economics and entrepreneurship for educators from the University of Delaware.
Rempe is also a Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP), Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), and a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE).
Appreciation for Retiring CEO
“As we look to the future, we also appreciate the past and thank our current CEO, Mike Rosek, for his many contributions. Under his leadership, we grew from a $173 million credit union to a nearly $300 million credit union, poised for great future success,” said Board Chair Theresa Hornberg.
First Alliance has more than 20,000 members across five counties in Southeast Minnesota: Olmsted, Dodge, Goodhue, Wabasha, and Winona.
