NASHVILLE, Tenn.— The National Coalition of Firefighters Credit Unions is holding its 4th annual conference here this week.
Among the events on the agenda will be the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Clint Hartmann, retiring CEO of Houston Texas Fire Fighters FCU.
After graduating with his MBA and working several years in finance and accounting, Hartmann began his credit union career at Tropical Telco FCU (now Tropical Financial CU) in Florida in 1983 as assistant controller. Over the next 25 years, Hartmann served as president and CEO several credit unions, and was named to lead Houston Texas Fire Fighters in 2004.
According to the Coalition, Hartmann has been extremely active within credit unions and currently serves as a member of the board of Corporate America Credit Union. He has also served as a member of board of the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions for nine years, and spent much time on fundraising efforts for community charities and political advocacy for the credit union industry in Texas.
