BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Financial Resources FCU has named a new president and CEO. The $507-million FRFCU has selected Frank Almeida to lead the organization and succeed Lena Matthews, who is retiring after 28 years.
Almeida had previously served as the credit union’s EVP and COO, after first joining Financial Resources in 2014.
“Frank has demonstrated the character, leadership and knowledge necessary to drive the credit union forward. His experience and focus on service to our members and employees is invaluable in working toward our purpose," said Chairman Sam Pagano in a statement.
Matthews joined Financial Resources FCU in 1993 as an accountant when the credit union was known as Ethicon Employees FCU. She was responsible for creating the CU’s internal audit division and later in her career also moved into operations, before being named chief operating officer. She was named to the top position in 2004.
“Lena has been a tremendous leader for the credit union during her tenure helping us grow our product and service offerings and expanding our community development efforts,” Pagano said.
