WASHINGTON—The filing period for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data collected in 2023 is now open.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau noted that “[s]ubmissions will be considered timely if received on or before Friday, March 1, 2024.”
The Bureau reminded that credit unions can access the HMDA platform to file their data, and can test their submissions on the HMDA beta platform but must officially submit their data via the live HMDA platform.
In addition, the platform allows credit unions to determine if their loan/application register (LAR) data complies with reporting requirements that are defined in the filing guide for 2023 HMDA data, America’s Credit Unions said.
Credit unions can provide feedback or direct questions about the platform to hmdahelp@cfpb.gov or at the HMDA Help site.
