MADISON, Wis.–The Filene Research Institute will host a webinar today titled, “So you want to talk about…mergers.”
“Growing competitive pressures, member expectations about technology and shrinking margins all mean that it is critical for credit unions to find and leverage opportunities to grow and scale through collaboration,” Filene said. “While many credit unions leverage mergers in their growth strategies, mergers are not guaranteed to be successful. Credit unions must do their due diligence.”
The webinar will feature panelists from the Heartland Credit Union, Langley Federal Credit Union and Upward Credit Union to share insights on the challenges they faced, the opportunities they discovered, and the guiding questions they considered when making the strategic decision to complete a merger, according to Filene.
