Filene to Host 2 Webinars Featuring 3 New i3 Programs

MADISON, Wis.–The Filene Research Institute will be hosting two webinars for its programs and is also offering new resources and ideas developed by its i3 program.

The webinars will focus on three new programs incubated by Filene, including  the Employer-Sponsored Small-Dollar Loan program, which was developed by its Financial Empowerment Incubator, and will be held March 20 and April 26.

In announcing the program Filene reminded that surveys have shown 46% of Americans could not come up with $400 in an emergency, and that eight in 10 consumers say financial stress impacts their work productivity.

During the webinar Filene and The FINRA Investor Education Foundation will discuss the program and the FREE implementation resources available to assist credit unions get the program off the ground.

Filene’s i3 program has also recently released the Will be Done! program. Filene said it requires no integration or set up, and that all a credit union needs to do is direct staff and members to a web page where they play with the idea of CUs helping their members complete the estate planning process.

In addition, the i3 program has released an idea that leverages how friends and family referrals can be a CU’s their greatest source of new members and new loans. The challenge has always been in formalizing, measuring and truly understanding the results of such efforts. To that end, i3 has released Member Megaphone to put a dent in that challenge.
