MADISON, Wis. – The Filene Research Institute closed out 2020 by offering a public thank you to members of its Inner Circle.
The Inner Circle is one arm of Filene’s Research and Incubation Advisory Council that Filene described as a means of connecting a “group of influential CEOs and senior executives from credit unions and credit union system organizations to Filene’s research and incubation agenda and activities.”
According to Filene, the organizations in the Inner Circle support its work to address the “most pressing issues facing credit unions through its Centers of Excellence and Incubators and provide high-level strategic guidance to deepen Filene’s relationship with and understanding of the needs and challenges of credit unions, partner organizations, members and consumers.”
“As an indispensable component of the Research and Incubation Advisory Council, our Inner Circle helps guide, activate, connect, and champion Filene’s research and incubation agenda and activities to enhance impact and spark systemic change,” said Filene President and CEO, Mark Meyer. “The focused longitudinal research Filene conducts around the most pressing challenges faced by this industry would not be possible without the forward-thinking innovation mindsets of these amazing organizations. Building Connections
According to Filene, credit union leaders in the Inner Circle form a network for building connections with peers, influential researchers and top-of-field academics inside and outside the credit union industry—while growing and strengthening their organizations and the credit union system by activating lessons and learnings from research and incubation activities.
In 2021, Filene said monthly discussions with its research fellows will enable this network to stay connected to members’ evolving financial situations and the disparate impacts this pandemic and economic crisis are having on different populations.
