Filene Hosting Webinar Today on Housing Insecurity; Panel to Discuss Strategies

MADISON, Wis.–Housing instability is reflected in economic instability, according to Filene, which will host a webinar today at 12:00 p.m. ET dedicated to the issue.

“Focusing on equity in affordable, quality housing — whether rented or owned — allows asset building for low and middle income households,” said Filene. “Credit unions and credit union foundations can play a key role in strengthening communities.”

Filene said the webinar, "Housing Insecurity: A Pervasive Problem", will host a unique panel with Donovan Duncan, EVP of Urban Strategies, Inc and John Dwyer, president & CEO of New England Federal Credit Union to discuss recent studies on housing affordability, racial disparities in wealth building, and innovative partnerships and programs credit unions can put into action to address this pervasive problem.
