MADISON, Wis.–The Filene Research Institute has announced its 2019 line-up of events, including what it said is a new series of workshops designed to help credit unions accelerate financial inclusion in their communities.
Filene said it will hold its signature event, big.bright.minds, in Durham, N.C. on Nov. 19. “In this culmination of the year’s insights, speakers from inside and outside the credit union industry will lead attendees through multi-day forward thinking sessions to strengthen their organizations and improve consumer financial wellbeing,” Filene said.
“We have ambitious plans for 2019 bringing the best and brightest together to spark our research to life,” said Mark Meyer, Filene CEO. “Our events provide an incredible opportunity to bring our members together, push the boundaries to think forward, and get ahead of changes happening in our industry to ensure credit unions continue to be a valued partner in the lives of their members.”
In addition to big.bright.minds., Filene said it will also host other events around key issues affecting credit unions. “These events explore topics critical to the future of consumer finance and give attendees the opportunity to directly interact with research authors, academics and industry experts,” the organization said.
