LOS ANGELES—Two credit unions serving universities that are icons in college football have again placed a wager related to an upcoming game between their two teams.
USC Credit Union, which serves the University of South California, and Notre Dame FCU in South Bend, Ind., are again participating in the 2018 $10K Credit Union Charity Challenge!
The 6th Annual challenge started November 5th and ends after USC vs. Notre Dame play each other on Nov. 24. The challenge is simple: the credit union that opens the most checking accounts during this time period wins. Notre Dame defeated USC in 2017 49-14 and is again favored this year when the two teams play on Nov. 5. However, USC Credit Union won the contest, with each credit union donating $5,000 to the USC Troy Camp.
Charity Chosen
For this year’s contest, USC Credit Union has selected USC Good Neighbors Campaign (GNC) as its charity this year. USC GNC provides financial support to university-community partnerships involving collaboration between USC faculty, staff, and local nonprofit organizations.
“The football rivalry between USC and Notre Dame goes deep, hence we continue this tradition with our friends at Notre Dame FCU,” said Gary Perez, president and CEO of USC Credit Union. “Our members and staff really get very excited for this challenge. Let’s show the Fighting Irish the true meaning of ‘Fight On!’”
