WASHINGTON–The Federal Reserve Board plans to hold a series of what it is calling "fintech innovation office hours" across the country during which it said it will meet with banks and companies engaged in fintech.
According to the Fed, the sessions are to serve as a resource for banks and fintech firms to meet one-on-one with its staff members with relevant expertise to discuss fintech developments and ask questions. The Fed indicated the sessions may be particularly helpful to community banks and their potential fintech partners.
All of the sessions will be co-hosted with the various Reserve Banks, with the first session at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta on Feb. 26. For more information, go here.
In addition to the “fintech innovation office hours,” the Fed also announced a new section on its website specifically around fintech innovation. The Fed said the new section is to serve as a “central hub of information” for those interested in learning about and engaging with the Fed on innovation-related matters.
