ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The president and CEO of ESL Credit Union, Faheem Masood, will retire next year in April, the credit union announced.
Masood began his career at ESL in 1991 as a senior financial analyst. He has been the president and CEO since March 2016, WHEC said.
Since Masood took over as CEO, ESL reports it has nearly doubled its assets from $5 billion to $9.8 billion, expanded its workforce from 700 to 1,000, and grown membership from roughly 330,000 to 443,000. Key milestones during his tenure include launching ESL Trust Services in 2017, acquiring Cooper/Haims Advisors in 2019, contributing nearly $500 million to the Greater Rochester community since 2017, and opening six new branches, WHEC said.
“ESL has been my professional home since 1991, and I have been consistently amazed by the exceptional work accomplished by my fellow employees throughout my time here,” said Masood.
ESL Chief Operating Officer Tom Rogers will take Masood’s spot when he retires, WGEC added.
