SAN DIEGO–The National Association of CUSOs has named its keynote speakers for its 2018 NACUSO Network Conference.
Emmitt Smith, the Pro Football Hall of Famer who played running back for the Dallas Cowboys and who more recently won ABC’s Dancing With the Stars competition and who is also a business and entrepreneur, will highlight the meeting, which is scheduled for April 14-17 in San Diego.
Smith won three Super Bowls during his playing career and has published “Game On,” which outlines the principles that helped him succeed both on and off the field.
Other speakers set to present during the NACUSO meeting include:
- Douglas Rushkoff, author and host of podcast “Team Human.” Rushkoff has written a dozen bestselling books on media, technology, and culture, including “Throwing Rocks at the Google Bus: How Growth Became the Enemy of Prosperity.” He is a research fellow of the Institute for the Future, and founder of the Laboratory for Digital Humanism at CUNY/Queens, where he is a professor of Media Theory and Digital Economics.
- Jim Stickley, founder of Stickley on Security and author who has “stolen credit cards, hacked Social Security numbers, robbed banks, and created fake ATMs. He has broken into armed government facilities and has stolen from teenagers. He is an identity thief, but he is no criminal. Fortunately for all victims involved, he is a cybersecurity expert with over 20 years in the industry,” noted NACUSO. “He is a published author and a frequent guest on NBC's Today Show…Jim is an expert who will help us understand the cyber security challenges of the upcoming 5G wireless communications, as well as evolving threats to protecting our members' information.”
- Dennis Dollar, principal partner, Dollar & Associates, LLC. Dollar is the principal partner in Dollar Associates, LLC, a full-service consulting group focusing on credit unions and the organizations that serve them, and former chairman of NCUA.
