LOUISVILLE, Ky.—A woman here has filed suit against Park Community Credit Union alleging she was fired for being a lesbian.
Lawyers for Penelope Hudson filed the lawsuit in Jefferson Circuit Court. In the suit Hudson claims she worked at Park Community Credit Union for 15 years and faced repeated discrimination, according to WDRB.com.
The lawsuit further alleges that Hudson was told she looked "too butch to deal with customers" and was told by a supervisor she didn't believe in God because she is gay, WDRB.com quoted the filing as stating.
In response, WDRB said Park Community has “vehemently” denied the charges and said it will fight the lawsuit.
