EL PASO, Texas–Evolve FCU here said it is moving its debit card business to Mastercard as part of “an effort to provide their members with the latest in technology and highest levels of security.”
The move to the new EMV-enabled cards is taking place throughout August.
“With the added level of security in preventing counterfeiting, EMV-integrated circuit cards will help protect their membership's financial assets,” the credit union said. “With the addition of a PIN code, their new Mastercard Debit Cards offer convenience and security for members using the cards at ATMs and merchants.”
