Everence FCU Names New President and CEO

LANCASTER, Penn.– Everence Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO. The $344.3-million EFCU said it has selected Kristen M. Heisey to lead the organization.

The move comes just over a year after it named Matthew Gehman as its new president and CEO.
According to a statement on the credit union’s website, Heisey will join the leadership team of Everence Financial, which provides financial services and which began as Mennonite Mutual Aid, and which says, “We believe it’s possible to incorporate your faith and values with your decisions about money.”

The credit union was originally chartered as Mennonite Financial FCU.

In its statement announcing the new CEO, EFCU said Heisey will report to the organization’s president and CEO, Ken Hochstetler.

Heisey brings more than 25 years of experience, particularly related to financial and nonprofit marketing and business development. She joins Everence from PeoplesBank in York, Penn., where she led marketing, communication, client experience, data analytics and product innovation efforts since 2018. 

Other Prior Roles
Prior to that, she served as the SVP for Mission Advancement at Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg, Penn., and has also held positions with Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, York County Transportation Authority, Marketing General Inc., The Wolf Organization, and Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities. 

Everence FCU reported $623,705 in Q1 net income with net worth of 8.42%.
