ALLEGANY, N.Y.–The newly named Enchanted Mountains Credit Union marked International Credit Union Day with an open house and an announcement of a membership expansion.
The former Allegany Community Federal Credit Union said NCUA has approved its FOM expansion to serve anyone living, working, worshipping or going to school in Cattaraugus County.
“As a result of our expansion, members will soon be able to open accounts and apply for loans online. With use of our electronic services, members will find convenience working with us, regardless of where they reside,” the credit union said in a press release.
The credit union began as a CU for ACME #4. When the company left the area, the credit union remained and opened membership to all town of Allegany residents.
The $12-million CU has 1,200 members.
