PALMDALE, Calif.–Edwards Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO.
The $275-million Edwards Federal said it has selected Carter Pope to lead the organization.
Pope has more than 20 years of leadership experience in financial services, having most recently served as executive leader in the Pacific Northwest for the $166-billion Navy Federal Credit Union. Pope also served as COO with the $1.1-billion Noble FCU in Fresno, Calif.
“Carter brings exceptional depth to the leadership team with a member and employee centric focus and a track record of growing credit unions,” the credit union said.
Pope has an MBA and a BS in business management.

Edwards Federal has more than 13,000 members.
