GREENBELT, Md. – Educational Systems FCU has launched a campaign it said is designed to support the education community. For every transaction made with an ESFCU Visa debit or credit card, the credit union will donate $0.02 to the Support Education Foundation, up to $200,000 for 2024.
According to the $1.3-billion Educational Systems FCU, the Support Education Foundation is committed to providing scholarships, professional development awards and student programs. The funds raised from the campaign will directly contribute to various initiatives, including programs geared towards college and career readiness, teacher empowerment and achieving excellence in the classroom, the CU added.
‘Highlights Commitment’
"The credit union is devoted to championing the education community,” President and CEO Girado Smith said in a statement. “This campaign highlights our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve by supporting programs that enrich learning opportunities and foster growth for students and educators."
The campaign is to run throughout the summer and back to school season.
