Daniel Pink

WASHINGTON—New York Times best-selling author and business guru Daniel Pink has been announced as the speaker for ED (Filene) Talk at CUNA’s 2016 Governmental Affairs Conference.

“We are thrilled to bring Dan Pink and his work and ideas to credit union leaders and thank CUNA Councils for sponsoring the ED Talk,” remarked CUNA president and CEO Jim Nussle.

Pink is the author of five books that examine modern professional challenges from unconventional perspectives. His #1 New York Times Best Seller Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us draws upon behavioral and social sciences to explore how today’s workforce is motivated. Pink’s presentation, based off of his latest book To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others, will outline a 21st century approach to sales based in social science and proven best practices.

In addition to writing, Pink hosts the National Geographic Television program Crowd Control, and has provided business and technology analysis for several networks. His 2009 ED Talk, The Puzzle of Motivation ranks among the ten most watched of all time. Pink has also worked in government, serving as chief speechwriter for Al Gore and as an aide to U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich.

GAC is scheduled for Feb. 21-25, 2016 in Washington. The ED Talk is sponsored by CUNA Councils and will be a Sunday general session.
