CONCORD, N.H.–During International Credit Union Week New Hampshire Federal Credit Union is “virtually” hosting its Annual Johnny Appleseed Fall Festival to show their appreciation to their members and community.
For everyone’s safety, the event will be held throughout the week, the credit union said. As in the past, the festival is being held at Beech Hill Farm in Hopkinton. While this year there are no additional activities beyond the ice cream and corn mazes, the festival is open to the public, and includes free corn maze passes for children and free ice cream while supplies last, the credit union said. There’s also a chance to win $15,000 by playing an online contest.
Beech Hill Farms also provides a “terrific family photo opp,” the $300-million NHFCU said, and to take advantage it is NHFCU is also running a photo contest. While the activities are free, NH Federal Credit Union said it will be accepting donations to benefit Make-A-Wish New Hampshire at the ice cream barn.
Some Changes
“COVID-19 has changed how we are handling our Annual Fall Festival Event this year,” said Polly Saltmarsh, VP financial ed & business development. “We still want to celebrate and thank our members. Our annual event has been a tradition for our families and community for many years – we really did not want to skip it all together – COVID-19 has already impacted so much of what we normally enjoy. So, we’ve switched things up to make sure people will still have an opportunity to get out with family for a pleasant afternoon with proper social distancing in place.”
