Dover FCU Names New President and CEO

DOVER, Del.– Dover Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO.

Janell Upton

The $627-million DFCU has selected Janell Upton to lead the organization. Upton succeeds Chaz Rzewnicki, who served as President/CEO since 2016 and who was recently appointed president/CEO at Vibe Credit Union in Novi, Mich.

Upton most recently served as executive vice president at Educational FCU in Miami, Fla. and has more than 25 years of expertise, including previous service as a senior executive at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union.

“She brings broad-level expertise in financial services, including in the functional areas of lending, retail operations, and administration,” Dover Federal said.

The credit union added Upton’s experience include building long-term strategies, aligning teams for high performance, and effectively executing mission-driven strategies.

‘Honored to be Selected’

“I am honored to be selected as the next president and CEO of Dover Federal Credit Union. I appreciate the confidence the Board of Directors has placed in me to serve the membership and staff,” said Upton. “I look forward to leading this exceptional credit union and talented team to further assist our members in reaching their financial goals and enabling growth and change that benefits the staff, the organization, and the communities we serve.”

Donna Kiscaden has served as interim president/CEO in the wake of Rzewnicki’s departure and will return to her role as CFO effective January 23, 2022, when Upton begins her tenure.
