Dover FCU Names New Chief Executive

DOVER, Del.–Dover FCU here has named a new CEO to replace David Clendaniel, who will retire in early 2017 after 27 years at the credit union. Succeeding Clendaniel will be Chaz Rzewnicki as CEO, effective Nov. 1.

"The board is very excited to promote Chaz to the CEO position," stated Chair Jeannette Schuler in a statement. "It was heartening to conduct a CEO search and determine the best candidate for the job was already a part of our team."

Rzewnicki most recently served as VP of member services for Dover Federal. He has more than 15 years of diversified credit union experience spanning across sales, service, lending, collections, operations, compliance, branch and call center administration.

Rzewnicki began his credit union career at age 16 through his high school co-op program. By 19, he was promoted to assistant branch manager and has continued to evolve as a strategic and demonstrated successful credit union leader.

"It's an honor to be selected to serve as CEO. When my family and I moved from Michigan to Delaware in 2014, we made a commitment to Dover Federal Credit Union and the good work they do," said Rzewnicki. "The credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People' is not only what guides my professional life but also my personal life. As CEO, I will influence the future growth of Dover Federal, prepare for the evolvement of the financial industry and continually seek to improve our members' experience."
