Directions Credit Union Headed In A New Direction: Downtown

TOLEDO, Ohio–Directions Credit Union will become the first tenant to occupy the redeveloped, 28-story Fiberglas Tower when it moves its headquarters to downtown Toledo later this year or in early 2018.

Directions CU plans to lease the 15th, 16th and 17th floors of the building, the CU’s CEO, Barry Shaner, told the Toledo Blade. The credit union said it plans to consolidate administrative and office operations now performed by employees at two separate locations into the new offices.

In all, about 90 employees will be involved in the move. The credit union said it could grow to as many as 130 employees over the next decade.

The top 11 floors of the tower are being converted to 106 luxury apartments, according to the Toledo Blade.

The $600-million Directions CU has approximately 75,000 members.
