Deseret First Breaks Ground On New Corporate Offices

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah—Deseret First Credit Union has broken ground for the construction of its new, 60,000 square-foot, three-story corporate office building here.

The new Deseret First Operations Center will be built on five acres at 3999 W. Parkway Blvd., Utah Business reported. The three-story facility will house management, administrative, member service, lending, IT, and other functions. The new facility will be only a short distance from the $560-million Deseret First’s current Salt Lake City, Utah, headquarters.

“We’re excited for this day,” Deseret First President and CEO, Shane London told Utah Business. “We believe that this new facility will provide us the ability and capacity we need to meet our member needs today and going forward.”

The operations center will incorporate an open-space, energy-efficient design and technology, the newspaper reported.

“As this building goes up, it will reflect the desires and aspirations of the credit union and its members,” Doug Martin, chairman of the credit union’s board of directors, told Utah Business.
