Delta Community Marking 75th Anniversary With Events

Delta Community Credit Union is marking its 75th anniversary on March 8, with employees and members supporting four of its non-profit partners who are also celebrating anniversaries this year.

"This milestone is a testament to Delta Community's dedication to our members, our employees and the neighborhoods where they live," said Delta Community CEO Hank Halter in a statement. "We approach our 75th year from a position of financial stability, exciting growth and with an even greater commitment to the communities we serve."

Among the activities:

  • March 9 – 31: The Delta Community Story Time Book & DVD Drive allows employees and members to donate books and movies to patients at Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals in Atlanta, as CMN celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2015. Book and DVD collection bins will be located inside Delta Community's 23 metro Atlanta branches through March 31.
  • March 14: Delta Community employees will volunteer for a beautification project at The Community School of Decatur, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2015.
  • March 21: Delta Community employees will volunteer at the Bloom Children's Shelter, as Bloom turns 25 this year.
  • March 28: Delta Community volunteers will help the Cobb Schools Foundation celebrate its 15th anniversary with a painting project at Russell Elementary School.

In addition to these events, Delta Community will commemorate its diamond anniversary through advertising and social media contests that provide special offers and discounts for members and incorporate the hashtag #DeltaCommunity75.

The $4.7-billion Delta Community has 310,000 members.
