LOS ALAMOS, N.M.—Del Norte CU staff invited Los Alamos residents to join them in setting the world record for most people to yell, “Where Discoveries Are Made!”
And that’s what they did last week.
According to the CU, the idea was to gather as many people as possible on the corner of 15th and Central where the county logo has been painted on the pavement.
“About 250 individuals were documented as participants and the record was set. Next year, DNCU and the community will seek an official record to break this year’s world record in the Guinness Book of World Records,” the CU stated.
“We are still reliving the energy and excitement from the event” noted Kim Currie, VP of marketing at Del Norte. “It was truly remarkable to gather so many people at the same place and time—and of course the chance to celebrate our wonderful community.”
The “Discoveries” brand, launched by the county and community partners, is designed to strengthen the community experience and attract more businesses, talent and visitors to Los Alamos, the CU explained.
