DECATUR, Ill.- Decatur Earthmover Credit Union has selected Beth Puckett to serve as its next CEO, the organization announced.
An internal candidate, she will succeed the retiring CEO, Barry Schimdt. DDJ Myers, the well-known executive search and leadership development firm, facilitated the in-depth selection process.
“Beth has a deep appreciation of our member-focused philosophy and a strong commitment to the communities we serve,” said John Kraft, DECU board president. “Her steadiness, authenticity and experience make her the ideal choice to lead us going forward.”
Puckett has served DECU for 24 years, most recently as the cooperative’s VP of ending. Throughout her tenure, she has held many different roles including mortgage lender, indirect lender, branch manager and underwriter.
