ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Federally insured credit unions have until Jan. 15, 1922, to complete the Voluntary Credit Union Diversity Self-Assessment.
All three members of the NCUA board have been regularly stating during various events that the self-assessment is a valuable tool for credit unions that want to commit to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
According to the agency, the tool helps credit unions identify possible next steps in their DEI efforts. These may include developing and implementing workforce diversity policies and practices, diversifying the supplier base, and communicating commitment to diversity and inclusion to the communities you serve, NCUA noted.
All data are aggregated and anonymously reported in the Annual OMWI Report to Congress, NCUA said.
