ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Employees at NCUA earned an average pay (base and bonus) of $121,180.88 in 2016, according to a new report.
Seventy-nine employees earned $200,000 or more in 2016, reported Keith Leggett, former senior vice president and senior economist at the ABA, on his Credit Union Watch Blog, citing the federalpay.org data.
According to Leggett’s report, the 10 highest paid employees are:
- Mark Treichel, executive director ($262,500)
- Larry Fazio, director of Examination and Insurance ($262,500)
- Lawrence Blankenberger, director, Region 1 ($262,000)
- John Kutchey, COO ($260,000)
- Keith Morton, president, AMAC ($260,000)
- James Hagen, inspector general ($260,000)
- Jane Walters, director, Region 2 ($260,000)
- Scott Hunt, director, National Examinations and Supervision ($260,000)
- John McKenna, general counsel ($260,000)
- Myra Toeppe, director, Region 3 ($258,363)
