Dakotans In ‘CU Social Good’ Fundraiser In DC

WASHINGTON—CU Social Good, the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas’ online platform for credit unions to share good news, is bringing the philosophy of “People Helping People” to those attending CUNA’s GAC this week.

All GAC attendees may receive an “I support CU Social Good” button to wear on their lanyard in return for a $1 donation to charity.  Five charities have been identified as possible recipients: CU4Kids; the American Cancer Society; Habitat for Humanity; National Wildlife Federation; and the American Red Cross.

Each person who donates $1 will be entered for a chance to choose the charity to which the donations collected during the GAC are awarded.  In addition, CU Social Good will match the donation, up to $500.

Launched by CUAD in 2013 and recognized by CUNA in 2014 as the “Best Community Relations Program,” CU Social Good is the only online platform dedicated solely to the sharing of the good things that credit unions do for people and their communities every day.  Since the initial launch, more than 2,800 “amazing stories” from 44 states have been posted.
