DEARBORN, Mich.—DFCU Financial has selected the Omnix Appointment Concierge from FMSI, a provider of branch software.

The $4-billion DFCU is seeking to provide more convenience for members using the sophisticated branch appointment capability at its 28 locations.

“Thanks to places like car dealerships, people are getting accustomed to using retail appointment technology, and it’s only a matter of time before they expect this convenience from their financial institution,” says Keri Boyd, executive vice president, retail financial services with DFCU Financial. “FMSI’s appointment solution offers our membership this convenient experience.  Not only does it help streamline the branch visit, but it also sends reminder alerts and custom messages to the members, informing them to bring any required documents for their appointment."

According to FMSI, its Omnix Appointment Concierge addresses two primary concerns of today’s financial institutions: improving service and sales in the branch.  Through sophisticated software as a service technology, FMSI’s white label branch appointment scheduling solution enables account holders to easily schedule appointments for their branch visits, allowing them to avoid long lobby wait times and ensures the employee with the right skill set will be assisting them.

"We’ve been utilizing FMSI’s lobby management solution for a number of years now, and we’re excited to rollout the new appointment solution, which is a natural extension of their lobby technology,” said Boyd. “Along with tracking each member’s wait-time, assist time and product/service inquiries in real-time, we’ll now capture and aggregate all of the important appointment information—before they even step foot into the branch.  We’ll be able to better handle each interaction with this valuable data, by ensuring the right available staff member is automatically assigned to each opportunity.”

“With rising competition over the past few years, and challenging profit expectations, many financial institutions are turning to innovative and more effective approaches, like utilizing appointment setting technology to maximize the branch investment,” said Meredith Deen, president of FMSI. "Our software as a service solution improves three critical performance areas in the branch—sales, service and employee productivity."
