WASHINGTON, DC – The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) has released updated details around its upcoming annual conference.
The event, which is scheduled for San Antonio Aug. 2-5, is only conference that brings the DoD/military perspective to credit union issues in a “place where you can network directly with CEOs, executives and other top decision makers who face the same challenges in serving the military community,” DCUC said.
DCUC said some of the keynote speakers and educational sessions will include:
- Rachel Wilson, director of Cybersecurity at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and the former head of counterterrorism operations at the NSA
- Keni Thomas, retired Army Ranger involved in the “Black Hawk Down” mission, who will talk about effective leadership during uncertain times
- Walter Bond, former NBA star and powerful motivational speaker
Filene Partnership
DCUC said it will again partner with the Filene Research Institute to host a research event for its Centers for Data Analytics, Emerging Technology, and Community Social Impact. The event will be held at the same location on August 1 – 2 prior to DCUC’s opening session.
DCUC said it is also continuing its tradition of a “Conference with a Purpose.” This year’s charity is the Armed Services YMCA, which is dedicated to serving junior-enlisted military service members and their families through specialized programs and services at low or no cost.
