SAN ANTONIO–During its first official day here the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) Annual Conference was told CUs are at an “inflection point,” were offered direction on cybersecurity, and heard from a member of the NCUA board.
In welcoming attendees to the meeting, Caroline Willard, Cornerstone League’s President/CEO, discussed how the credit union industry is at an inflection point, emphasizing the importance of advocacy at both a local and regional level.
In addition, keynoter Rachel Wilson, a former leader at the NSA and managing director and head of Cybersecurity at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, shared her expertise on how consumers can all be safer citizens of the internet.
In addition, Anthony Hernandez, DCUC’s president/CEO was joined by NCUA Vice Chairman Kyle Hauptman for a conversation on vulnerabilities and opportunities for credit unions.
