WASHINGTON —The Defense Credit Union Council has announced several changes to its board.
Maggie Sayer, president and CEO of Keys FCU in Key West, Fla., has joined the board to fill a vacancy created by the departure of Stewart Ramsey, the current vice chair of the DCUC board and president and CEO of Pen Air FCU in Pensacola, Fla., who is retiring at the end of July.
Sayer, who will serve as the interim Navy/Coast Guard representative on the DCUC board, has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial industry and has spent the past 11 serving the defense credit union community at Keys FCU.
“Her wealth of knowledge and experience, especially with information technology, brings an important perspective to the board,” the DCUC said.
Sayer will run for the remainder of Ramsey’s term at the DCUC Annual Business Meeting on August 11.
“DCUC wishes Stu the very best and we hope he enjoys spending more time with his family,” said Anthony Hernandez, DCUC president and CEO. “I’m sure that wherever he goes, Stu will bring his wealth of experience to continue serving his community. It has been a pleasure working with him and I always enjoyed his sound advice and honest friendship. I will miss his presence on the DCUC board of directors.”
During his tenure on the DCUC board, Ramsey helped lead DCUC through many changes, including the Council’s CEO transition in 2017 and shaping DCUC’s strategic plan to better serve its members.
