ST. GEORGE, Grenada–A credit union in this small country is reporting it was knocked offline as the result of a cyberattack. It reported no funds were lost.
Ariza Credit Union issued a statement that cyberattacks targeted its computer systems. As a precautionary measure the credit union said it shut down its systems for two
days.
As a result, its in-branch systems, ATMs, online services and point-of-sale solutions were unavailable.
The credit union did not say whether a ransomware attempt was made or indicate if it had any knowledge of who was behind the attack.
A check by CUToday.info showed that its website was functional.
