CrossRoads Financial FCU Names New CEO

Donald C. Gillespie

PORTLAND, Ind.–CrossRoads Financial FCU here has named a new CEO. The credit union has selected Donald C. Gillespie to lead the organization, succeeding Janet E. Bantz, who is retiring.

Gillespie has previously served as senior loan officer and as a financial counselor with the $57-million CrossRoads since 2011. Overall, Gillespie has more than 23 years’ experience in landing and management.

“I am honored to be named as the successor of Janet E. Bantz and to serve as the credit union’s next CEO,” said Gillespie in a statement. “Janet has guided the staff and credit union successfully for the past 31 years, and her dedicated efforts have benefited the members and positioned us for the future. We will continue to follow our mission of helping members meet their financial needs and improving the communities we serve as we guide the credit union into the future.”

In addition to his roles with the credit union, Gillespie has served as City Court Judge of Portland for 10 years.  Recently, he was chosen to mentor incoming City Court Judges by the Indiana Association of City and Town Court Judges.  He was named Citizen of the Year at the Jay County Chamber 2018 Community Awards. 

Gillespie has served on many community boards, including the City Park Board and the Jay County Fair Board where he served 19 years. He currently serves as an advisor and mentor to the CrossRoads Youth Advisory Board.
