EDMONTON, Alberta–Alberta’s credit unions have announced a new Women in Ag grant aimed at women in the province who are currently working in or planning to work in agriculture.
The funding can be put towards their ag business’ financial future, according to Credit Unions of Alberta. Two grants of $10,000 will be awarded to two individuals or businesses, with the application deadline July 5.
To be eligible:
- Applicants must be legal residents of Alberta, who, at the time of entry, are at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be women who currently work or are planning to work in agriculture.
For those intending to work in agriculture, applicants are being asked to provide a two-page business plan detailing (but not limited to) the applicant’s target market (demographics, purchasing behavior, etc.), marketing strategy, two-year projections including projected revenue and detailed expenses, and any other relevant information.
