WASHINGTON—Federal Communications Commission Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel met this week with America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle and members of the organization’s advocacy team to discuss credit union priorities related to several agency actions, according to the trade group.
America’s Credit Unions said it discussed recent comments it had filed with the FCC urging it to reject a request to require an automated opt-out mechanism on every call with an artificial or prerecorded message, including those made to cell phones.
ACU’s representatives also shared the “credit union perspective” on the FCC’s final rule related to a consumer’s right to revoke consent to receive robocalls and robotexts under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the organization said.
According to ACU, the rule—finalized in February—reflects changes it had requested.
