NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Three credit unions have announced name changes.
The former Diebold Federal Credit Union said it is now DN Community Federal Credit Union. The name change follows a merger by Diebold with Wincor Nixdorf and the resulting new name of the company, Diebold Nixdorf.
“We came up with DN Community Federal Credit Union as the new name. The ‘DN’ in our name pays homage to our founding company Diebold, which is now Diebold Nixdorf,” said Greg Grosklos, CEO. “And the word ‘Community’ reflects the fact that we also serve those in the Stark County community. We’re excited to launch our new name and logo to our members as well as our friends and neighbors in Stark County.”
DN Community FCU has $22 million in assets and approximately 3,500 members.
Meanwhile, in West Point, Va., the $74-million Baylands FCU has tweaked its name, but not its abbreviation. The credit union has moved from a federal charter to a state charter and in the process also changed its name to Baylands Family Credit Union.
BFCU said the move will allow it to expand service to other communities and enhance the potential for future growth.
Baylands Family Credit Union is open to residents of James City, New Kent, King William, King and Queen, Middlesex, Essex, Gloucester and Mathews counties in Virginia. The credit union has 5,400 members.
And in Roaring Spring, Penn., the former Spring Mill FCU now has a new name. The $41-million CU is now Morrisons Cove 1st Federal Credit Union. With the new name, it also has a new web address and website at http://mcove1stfcu.com. Morrisons Cove 1st has approximately 4,400 members.
