BISMARCK, N.D.–The first-ever joint meeting between the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) and the Montana Credit Union Network (MCUN) has been announced.
The “MONDAK” Roundtable will be held Jan. 10 – 11, 2017 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
“In order to sustain the credit union movement and further promote and move our mission in a positive direction, credit unions and leagues continually need to find new and innovative ways to collaborate and cooperate,” says Jeff Olson, CUAD president/CEO. “Simply put, collaboration in today’s challenging environment is necessary. Our Montana and Dakota leagues are already involved in two successful collaborative ventures. We see this joint meeting as a way to expand on that success and benefit from a situation where people can continue to work together in a coordinated way, achieving a common objective. Additionally, this new joint effort is another positive step for sustainable development for our two leagues and for our members, while achieving a favorable cost/benefit trade-off as well.”
Tracie Kenyon, MCUN president/CEO, agreed, saying, “Cooperation is the cornerstone of credit union ideals, so we’re delighted to work with our neighbors to create this new opportunity for education and networking. In addition to important industry discussions, each league will be hosting their own in-person board meeting prior to the CEO and volunteer roundtable dialogue.”
Following the league board meetings, the group will hear from Mike Schenk, VP of economics and statistics with CUNA, as well as Brandi Stankovic, motivational speaker and organizational change expert, will also present “Radical Reframe.”
