Credit Unions Continue to Announce Year-End Bonuses, Rebates

RACINE, Wis.–Several more credit unions have announced year-end bonus dividends, loan interest rebates and more.

Among them:

  • In Racine, Wis., Educators Credit Union said it is paying out $5.1-million to members as a member loyalty bonus.

“Member Loyalty is just one way we recognize our members for their continued support and trust in Educators Credit Union,” the credit union said on its website. “Throughout 2023, members built their reward each month based on the products and services they used with Educators. The more products and services used, the bigger the reward.”

  • In Ogden, Utah, Goldenwest Credit Union said it is paying out its 20th annual bonus dividend with a year-end bonus of 4.65% APY being paid for December.  The dividend will be distributed across primary shares, secondary shares, Christmas Club shares, and IRA shares, collectively amounting to $3.3 million for its members. Goldenwest reported that since 2004 its bonus dividend program has paid out  $27 million in earnings to members over the past two decades. “This year’s dividend, in addition to the standard monthly dividend of 0.05% APY, underscores the credit union’s commitment to providing meaningful value to its members,” Goldenwest said.
  • In South Carolina, Founders Federal Credit Union said it is paying out $10 million to qualifying members. The credit union, which explains how members can earn a payout here, said that since 1992 it has returned $101 million in bonus dividends.
