JACKSON, Mich. – As Halloween approaches one credit union is again dealing with zombies.
Michigan Community Credit Union is currently promoting its “Zombie Green Checking Account” and as part of the campaign it said its own zombies will be making an appearance at a BP gas station on Oct. 21 at 10:30 a.m. to pump free gas! The first 60 cars will receive $20 in free gas as a way to promote their Zombie Green Checking Promotion.
“We take pride in giving back to our community,” said Tina Hamilton, CEO of the Credit Union. “It is rewarding to see our members and staff really having fun with this promotion, and we are very excited to participate in these community events.”
The credit union also recently donated a $500 sponsorship to Zombie Walk Jackson, a 5k event in which all proceeds went to the March of Dimes. Representatives from Michigan Community Credit Union were present and participated in the walk.
Michigan Community Credit Union’s Zombie Green Checking Promotion pays a dividend rate of 0.25% APR with no minimum balance and monthly opportunities to earn the bonus dividend of 1.75% APY.
