WASHINGTON–As part of what it said is its continued efforts to educate students and families on the most affordable and responsible ways to pay for college, Credit Union Student Choice will
host a free public webinar on Oct. 11.
The webinar, “Free Money for College – FAFSA and the CSS Profile,” will be offered at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET.
“This webinar will provide information about the FAFSA, one of the most important parts of the college financial aid process, as well as the CSS Profile, an online application that collects information used by nearly 400 colleges and scholarship programs to award non-federal aid,” the company said.
The webinar will be led by Student Choice College Access Counselor Patricia Poplicean, and will help attendees to navigate:
- What is the FAFSA and CSS Profile?
- Completing the FAFSA and CSS Profile
- What to expect after applications are submitted
- Federal updates

CU Student Choice said the presentation is part of a series of quarterly national webinars hosted by Poplicean; to date, more than 1,000 attendees have benefited from content on preparing for college, completing the FAFSA, student loan repayment, and award letters.
