SAN ANTONIO–SA Credit Union here has changed its name. The $225-million CU is now United Texas Credit Union.
In a statement, the new United Texas said the “name change supports the credit union’s efforts to expand its membership and distinguish its offering from other financial institutions, the institution said in a statement.”
UTCU has 18,000 members.
“We are enthusiastic about the new brand and opportunities to achieve our long-term vision for continued growth, member service and community involvement,” United Texas’ CEO and President Kyle Ashley said in the statement.
With the name change the credit union said it is also renovating branching and relocating one branch.
