MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) will host a webinar titled “Crafting an Effective Board Agenda—For Directors and CEOs” today beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
“The board agenda design is often overlooked and undervalued- it is the first step in setting the tone and expectations for board meetings,” WOCCU said. “It can: encourage (and easily discourage) director/CEO engagement, promote operational or strategic thinking, assist in addressing issues identified in meetings, and help to support directors fulfil their fiduciary responsibility. The board’s commitment to improving the Board Agenda design will ultimately help to create and protect value for your Credit Union’s members and communities.”
According to WOCCU, participants will learn:
- To articulate the value of a well-designed board agenda.
- To make their board agenda more effective.
- Best practices from other directors/CEOs around the world through interaction.
‘Highly Interactive’
The 60-minute workshop-webinar will be highly interactive, including breakout sessions and poll questions, WOCCU said. It will be led by Miranda Flury, president of Hawkeye Strategies in Canada.
Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit.
