VENTURA, Calif.–County Schools FCU has named a new president and CEO.
The credit union has selected Hector Martin to lead the organization.
In a statement, the $94.7-million credit union described Martin as a “highly motivated leader with broad-based knowledge in credit unions, specializing in small to mid-sized credit unions.”
Martin has more than 13 years of experience in credit unions, having previously served as VP-retail services with County Schools FCU, and most recently as AVP-lending at CBC Federal Credit Union.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve County Schools in the capacity of president/CEO,” said Martin. “I would like to thank the board of directors for their trust, and my mentors for their continued support and inspiration. It is apparent that the team at CSFCU has done an exceptional job serving its members and the community of Ventura County. I am excited to work with such a strong team, and together enter the next chapter of continued success.”
Tomorrow’s Star Award Winner
Martin holds a bachelor's degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach, and is also a graduate of the Western CUNA Management School. He was the recipient of the Tomorrow’s Star Award in 2021, awarded by the California Credit Union League. He currently serves as an associate board member of the Richard Miles Johnson Foundation and is the Founder/Chairman of the Emerging Credit Union Leaders Council (CA).
County Schools, which has approximately 5,400 members, posted $962,000 in net income during 2022.
