Countryside FCU Selects TMG Financial Services For New Program

DES MOINES, Iowa–Countryside Federal Credit Union said it has partnered with TMG Financial Services (TMGFS) to roll out a brand new credit card program for members of the $153-million New York-based CU.

The partnership will allow Countryside to provide their members more value without taking staff away from other key products and strategic initiatives, the company said.

“Our mission is to provide members of modest means a place to save and borrow at competitive rates,” said Ben Gasser, president and CEO of Countryside. “The credit card program we are launching will very closely resemble the rest of our product suite. Importantly, cardmembers will be serviced in the manner and in the channels they prefer.”
By partnering with TMGFS, Countryside’s 18-person staff will offer members a competitive credit card product designed and managed by people who understand and value credit union principles, according to the company.
Countryside’s strategic direction for its credit card program aims to earn top-of-wallet positioning with existing and future members, said TMGFS. “Building and promoting a successful credit card program in today’s highly regulated and intensely competitive environment requires a partner with the technical know-how and the people-first mindset,” said Gasser. “TMGFS has each of these capabilities, as well as a futurist outlook that is constantly scanning for trends and applying them to payments products. We are confident this lens, accompanied by the high-touch staff training TMGFS provides, will help our employees provide an outstanding cardmember experience for Countryside members.”

TMGFS is owned by the Iowa Credit Union League and was not impacted by the recent sale of its former sister company, TMG, to CO-OP Financial Services.
