MUSKEGO, Wis.–Corporate Central Credit Union will host a webinar on “Check Exceptions.”
“There are exceptions to every payment process; check collection is not immune to exceptions,” noted Corporate Central. “How do you decide whether to return or adjust an incoming payment that cannot be processed? What are the warranties and timeframes to resolve collection errors? How can a BOFD or a Paying Bank protect itself from loss due to check processing issues?”
The 60-minute webinar, which is being cohosted by ECCHO, is set for Sept. 15 from 11-12 ET.
The webinar will review the basic kinds of adjustments, the timeframes and general responsibilities of the parties to the collection of checks, and “help you reduce your risks of exception handling through better understanding of the processes and timing requirements, and the terms imposed through image exchange agreements,” Corporate Central said.
